Trees & Trails brings you A Legacy of Green, a documentary film about the history of the Indian Hill Green Areas and bridle trails, celebrating these treasured spaces, the joyful experiences they've provided residents and riders, and highlighting the importance of taking action to maintain them for future generations.

ABOUT
THE FILM

The Trees & Trails Foundation is pleased to share with you the documentary film from Meg Hanrahan Media ("MHM"), an Emmy Award winning film team, entitled, A Legacy of Green – the History of Indian Hill’s Bridle Trails and Green Areas, which details the history of the Indian Hill bridle trails and Green Areas. The film underscores the uniqueness of these resources and the importance of maintaining them.  Meg Hanrahan and the MHM team have produced and/or directed many films that engage, enlighten and inspire viewers to connect with the community and individuals. As a Cincinnati native, Meg also has several acclaimed documentaries about people and places in the Cincinnati area, including the films A Force of Nature: Lucy BraunSacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati, and Cincinnati Parks: Emeralds in the Crown.

The Foundation's goal in making A Legacy of Green is to bring the story of the bridle trails and Green Areas to a wider audience, and to inform residents, riders and stakeholders about the challenges and the need to act in order to conserve these resources.

PRODUCTION

The film debuted at Livingston Lodge at an event hosted by the Indian Hill Historical Society on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Trees & Trails thanks the Indian Hill Historical Society, as well as the attendees, its partners, and friends for such a successful premiere, and looks forward to working with these stakeholders to achieve the Foundation's mission.
