INDIAN HILL GREEN AREAS COMMITTEE ON INVASIVES

The Village of Indian Hill's Green Area's Committee posts this useful infosheet on its site to advise on why and which invasives to remove. Local landowners are wise to familiarize themselves with the latest invasives and control methods in case they crop up in their neck of the woods.

The Committee provides these illustrative photos, demonstrating the difference between native and invasive species, showing a thriving year-round ecosystem of native plants on the top juxtaposed with the barren seasonal landscape of the invasive, providing a solid reason to remove these plants from forests. The absence of plant life during any given season means that plant and animal populations are at risk and/or dying.
